Leveling

Read the levels below to identify your group. Levels are used for Open Plays and leagues. You can also ask a pro to help you determine your level.

  • New to pickleball and learning the basics. Beginners are learning to serve, return, understand the rules and how to keep score.

  • You can maintain a rally, know the rules, and are starting to control your shots. At least 60% of your serves are in the right box. You are building confidence and consistency and are ready to play new players at your level.

  • You have strategic shot placement, can choose your serves and know how to control game speed. You understand partner positioning and naturally communicate.

  • A strong, consistent player with solid technique, strategic play, and fast hands at the net. You can play in tournaments and are comfortable playing with Advanced level players.


  • You compete regularly, have consistent shot execution, know how to play defensively by anticipating the next play. Most importantly, you maintain control and composure in high pressure situations.
